If your Transit needs a replacement engine, Transit Tech can quote for both the reconditioned engine and professional installation. Our aim is to make the process clear, from identifying the correct engine to explaining the full fitted cost.

How it works
1. Enquiry and identification — Tell us the symptoms, registration, mileage, model and engine code if available.
2. Compatibility check — We confirm the appropriate engine specification and discuss whether further inspection is needed.
3. Written quotation — We separate the engine price, fitting labour, VAT, consumables, delivery or transport, and any exchange surcharge.
4. Booking — We agree availability and the next steps before work begins.
5. Installation and handover — The fitting process and any additional work identified are explained before approval. Warranty and aftercare information is provided at handover.

Why request a fitted quotation?
An engine replacement may involve additional parts or checks depending on the cause of the original failure. Oil contamination, cooling-system faults, turbocharger problems and failed ancillary components may need attention to protect the replacement engine. We will explain what is included in the quotation and what requires separate approval.

Engine and fitting prices
Engine prices shown on the website are supply-only prices excluding VAT. Fitting prices vary by engine and vehicle and are shown separately where available. The engine price assumes a usable exchange unit; otherwise a £250 + VAT surcharge applies (£300 including VAT at 20%). Consumables and other costs are quoted separately.

Warranty
Reconditioned engines carry a six-month warranty with unlimited mileage during the warranty period, subject to the written terms. Ask us for the terms and installation requirements before ordering.
